Orthodontics – braces and invisible aligners

The orthodontic correction devices (braces) improve teeth position.

It can be performed in children, teenagers and adults according to each case.

It can be removable, fixed, visible or invisible.

It is necessary a previous study with X-rays, study models, photographs and a detailed exam of facial and skeletal structures.

3D Diagnose for Orthodontic Study

– SYM3D Protocol

– Tridimensional Craniofacial Analysis

– Thorough study and more detail in diagnose and treatment plan

– Used for orthodontic study  in more complex cases and in multidisciplinary cases which involve other simultaneous treatments such as implants, crowns or veneers.

Correction of Anterior Crossbite Malocclusion

– Anterior Crossbite Malocclusion (upper front teeth bite inside the lower front teeth) and Classe III Tendency  (tendency to lower jaw bone overgrowth in relation to the upper jaw bone).

– Interceptive orthodontic treatment – performed in children to prevent more difficult problems to solve in adult age

– Fixed Device for Palatal Expansion – McNamara Palatal Expander (increase dimension of upper jaw bone)

– Facial Mask (forward displacement of the upper jaw bone)

3DVD® (Three-dimensional Virtual Diagnosis)

– Indications:

  • Orthodontic treatments
  • Ortho-surgical treatments (ortodonthics e orthognathic surgery)
  • Treatments for oral rehabilitation (need of orthodontics for future rehabilitation with implants and crowns)

– Advantages:

  • Allows visualization of the exact teeth movements
  • Allows calculating the position of the implants, that are possible to place, before the orthodontic treatment. These implants will provide anchorage (support) to move the other teeth, shortening the orthodontic treatment time, reducing the duration of the entire treatment.

3D Diagnosis
Simulation of orthodontic teeth movement
Calculation of the location to place implants
Planning of immediate and future implants
Clear Aligners

– Invisalign® System

– Allow orthodontic treatment without using brackets (braces).

– Clear aligners are small transparent devices, almost invisibles, to straighten teeth. These aligners are removed only to eat.

Orthodontic Skeletal Anchorage with Mini Plates

– Mini Plates are small devices placed in the jaw bones to allow anchorage during teeth movement.

– Mini plates provide more anchorage, which means that the range of teeth movements is wider.

– The use of mini plates enables more satisfactory results in less time taht it usually takes.
